This presentation will cover aspects of computer security relating to information operations (IO) by state and business entities to achieve economic goals including computer network attack (CNA), computer network exploitation (CNE), computer network defense (CND), and the critical roles of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.  Mr. Zaluski will also cover organized crime (cyber cartels), the ‘grey’ perimeter, key offensive technologies in penetration testing, exploit development lifecycles, and ‘intangibles’ faced by organizations such as preserving corporate and client image.  The true cost of managing internal testing teams, their effectiveness versus third party testing, and the return on security investment (ROSI) will be explored as well.
